Type 1 Call Waiting

These details are for a Type 1 phone service. What type of service do I have?

 

The Call Waiting feature notifies you, when you are already on the phone, of any additional incoming calls by producing an audible tone of two beeps every five seconds. Then you have the option to put your first caller on hold while you take the second call.

Notes

  • If you would like to disable Call Waiting for a specific call, simply dial * 4 4 before the phone number. This option is particularly useful when dialing into the Internet (for dialup users) and when making fax calls.

Switch Call Waiting off

To see if Call Waiting is on or off

To put the current call on hold and answer the incoming call

To reject the incoming call

To transfer between calls

To terminate the current call and switch to the other
